1975-085WHEREAS, the Orange County Municipal Water District
intends to proceed in a sand and gravel operation at the Burris
Pit; and
WHEREAS, the County of Orange has a Sand and Gravel
Zone that controls the operation of such business in said
County; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary for the best interests of the
citizens of the surrounding area that the rehabilitation and
trucking operation of the Burris Pit be controlled by County
regulations in the interest of traffic safety, noise pollution
and public welfare; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim
desires to urge the Board of Supervisors to request the Orange
County Municipal Water District to process a County Sand and
Gravel Zone Application for the general welfare of the public.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that they request the Board of Super
visors of Orange County to urge the Orange County Municipal
Water District to process a County Sand and Gravel Zone Appli-
cation with the County of Orange for the Burris Pit operation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and
she is hereby, authorized and directed to forward certified
copies of this resolution to the Board of Supervisors of Orange
County, California.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
