1975-074WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 51230 of the Government
Code, the City of Anaheim may establish agricultural preserves
in the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, General Plan Amendment 136 adopted pursuant
to City Council Resolution No. 74R -625 permits the use
of land for agriculture and open space purposes in the City;
and
WHEREAS, Section 51230 of the Government Code permits
agricultural preserves on land of less than one hundred (100)
acres when a smaller preserve is necessary due to the unique
character of the agricultural enterprises, and a preserve of
less than one hundred (100) acres is consistent with the General
Plan of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the City Council finds and determines
that the establishment of an agricultural preserve on the
property owned by Masao Fujishige on the east side of Harbor
Boulevard, and more particularly described in the legal notice
setting the public hearing on this Resolution to be in conform-
ance with the City of Anaheim General Plan, and such an
agricultural preserve of less than one hundred (100) acres is
necessary due to the unique characteristics of the agricultural
enterprises in said area.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
