1975-058WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim desires to provide
specialized occupational development services for
disadvantaged unemployed ex- offenders and veterans with
other than honorable discharge through the establishment
of an Adult Occupational Development Program; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim requires the
services of an agency with special knowledge and expertise
in the operation of Adult Occupational Development Programs;
and
WHEREAS, the People's Center, Inc., has
demonstrated expertise in the operation of Adult Occupational
Development Programs and is willing to furnish such special-
ized personnel, material and equipment as is required to
operate said Adult Occupational Development Program; and
WHEREAS, the People's Center, Inc., has submitted
to the City a form of Agreement providing for the furnishing
of specialized personnel, material and equipment to operate
an Adult Occupational Development Program; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be
for the benefit and in the best interests of the City to
approve the proposed Agreement between the City of Anaheim
and the People's Center, Inc., and that the same should be
approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that said Agreement this day subui.tted
to the City Council to be made and entered into between the
City of Anaheim and the People's Center, Inc., providing for
the furnishing of specialized personnel, material and equip-
ment required to operate an Adult Occupational Development
Program upon the terms and conditions and for the compensa-
tion set forth in said Agreement, be, and the same is hereby
approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the City
Clerk be, and they are hereby, authorized to execute said
Agreement for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
4th day of February, 1975.
