1975-048WHEREAS, Anaheim, Placentia, and the County of Orange
desire to install and maintain a fully- actuated traffic signal
system, safety lighting, and railroad preempt at the inter-
section of Orangethorpe Avenue and Lakeview Avenue, a portion
of which intersection is within the jurisdiction of each of
these Parties; and
WHEREAS, the provisions of Title I, Division 7, Chapter
5, Article 1 of the California Government Code commencing with
Section 6500 authorize two or more public agencies to jointly
exercise any power common to the contracting Parties; and
WHEREAS, an agreement has been prepared, the terms and
conditions of which provide for the installation and maintenance
of said traffic control system and the proportionate share of
the costs to be borne by each of the Parties; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the terms and
conditions of said agreement are satisfactory and that it is
in the best interests of the City of Anaheim to enter into
said agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the Mayor and City Clerk be, and they
are hereby, authorized and directed to execute the agreement
to which reference has been made, on behalf of the City of
Anaheim.
