1975-006WHEREAS, heretofore, to wit, on the 3rd day of December,
1974, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did adopt Resolution
No. 74R -596 finding and determining that public convenience and
necessity required the construction and completion of a public im-
provement consisting of Park Buildings at Boysen Park, Work Order
No. 843; Twila Reid Park, Work Order No. 812; and Manzanita Park,
Work Order No. 794; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did authorize and direct the
City Clerk to publish a notice according to law inviting sealed
proposals for the furnishing of all plant, labor, services, mate-
rials and equipment, and all utilities and transportation, includ-
ing power, fuel and water and performing all work necessary to
construct and complete said public improvement, and fixing the 2nd
day of Janua 1975,'at the hour of 2:00 o'clock P.M., as the date
and hour for the opening of said bids in the Council Chamber in the
City Hall, in the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, upon said 2nd day of January, 1975, at the hour
of 2:00 o'clock P.M., the City Clerk and City Engineer did open
all bids received up to that hour, in public, in the City Hall, in
the City of Anaheim, and the City Engineer did tabulate all bids
so received and did report the result thereof to the City Council
at its regular meeting held on the 7th day of January, 1975; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that all bids received
are in excess of the estimate of the City Engineer of the cost of
said public improvement and are not representative of actual con-
struction costs; and that said bids should be rejected.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that all bids received up to the hour of 2:00
o'clock P.M., on January 2, 1975, tabulated by the City Engineer,
and submitted to the Council on January 7, 1975, for the construc-
tion of park buildings at Boysen Park, Work Order No. 843; Twila
Reid Park, Work Order No. 812; and Manzanita Park, Work Order 794
be, and the same are hereby, rejected.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 7th day of January, 1975.
