90-337 RESOLUTION NO. 90R-.,,,...3.3,.? A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 89R-366 NHICH ESTABLISHED RATES OF COMPENSATION FOR CLASSIFICATIONS DESIGNATED AS PROFESSIONAL WHEREAS, th~ Human Resources Director has recommend6~d in a staff report dated August 21, 1990, that certain Professional pay policies relating to merit increases and and pro~otffons be amended effective August 31, 1990; and WHEREAS, as a result thereof, the City Council desires to amend Resolutffon No. 89R-866 whffch established rates of compensation for classifications designated as Professional; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that amending Resolution No. 89R-366 as set forth herein below is in the best interest of the City of Anaheim. NC~, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that Resolution No. 89R-366 be, and the same is hereby, amended as fol lows: 1. Subsection 5.3 of Section 5 is amended by adding thereto the fo] lowing p~ragraph: "Employees in classifications listed in Section 2 of this Resolution No. 89R-366 may be ellgffble for a spectal salary adjustment as approved by the City lianaget." 2. Subsection 5.6 of Section 5 is amended to read as follows: "An employee who is promoted to a job class listed in this resolution shall be placed at the minimum of th~ new range or at a salary in the range which provides a 15~ pay increase as long as it does not exceed the market point (100% compa-ratio). If m 15% increase would place the employee's salary beyond the market point, the employee shall receive a minimum of 5% increase or an increase between 5% and 15% in order to bring the employee to the market point provided, however, that in no event shall the employee's salary exceed the control point." 8E IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the effective date of said amendment to Resolutio~ No. 89R-366 is August 31, 1990. AND, 8E IT FURTHER RESOLVED that except as amended herein, Resolution No. 89R-366 shall remain in full force and effect.
