1976-083RESOLUTION NO. 76R-.83 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY w OF ANAHEIM SUPERSEDING RESOLUTION NO. 74R-134 AND ESTABLISHING NEW RATES OF COMPENSATION AND WORKING CONDITIONS FOR EVENT AND OTHER PERSONNEL AT THE ANAHEIM STADIUM WHEREAS, the Personnel Director has met with and discussed wages and other working conditions for event and other employees of the Anaheim Stadium with representatives of the Service and Hospital Employees Union, Local 399, and WHEREAS, the Assistant City Manager and the Personnel Director have recommended to the City Council wages and other working conditions as set forth below, and WHEREAS, the need exists to supersede Resolution No. 74R-134 which established wages and other working conditions for event and other employees at the Anaheim Stadium, and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that the adoption of these recommended wages and working conditions is in the best interests of the City of Anaheim. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that the rates of compensation and working conditions for event and other employees at the Anaheim Stadium be adopted as follows: CROWD CONTROL EMPLOYEES 2-16-76 to 2-13-77 CLASSIFICATION HOURLY RATE Usher $ 3.42 Director 3.86 Usher Captain 4.41 Press or Employee Gateman 4.29 Ticket Taker 4.06 Gate Captain 4.41 Head Usher (5 hr. minimum) 6.02 Head Ticket Taker (5 hr. minimum) 5.62 Ticket Seller (G.A.) 4.82 Ticket Seller (Res. & Box) 5.20 Ticket Seller (Exchange) 5.08 Money Counter (5 hr. minimum) 6.05 Elevator Operator 3.49 All classifications listed on an hourly basis shall be paid such rate for hours worked with a four-hour guaranteed minimum per event except as noted above. Said work period is not restricted to any specific hours but shall be as required by ANAHEIM for each event. Pay for more than the minimum shall be compensated in fifteen (15) minute increments. All classifications listed above shall also be entitled to the following: American League World Series and Play-off Games - Time & One-half Major League All Star Games - Time & One-half Two Separate Events - Double Pay Ticket Seller classes listed above working on an event basis shall receive an additional $3.00 per event for national competition pro- fessional double headers. On New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanks- giving hanksgiving Day and Christmas Day, Employees working in the above classi- fications shall receive a minimum guarantee equal to the equivalent of ONE (1) HOUR'S PAY in addition to the minimum specified above. In case of rain -out or cancellation of event and if ANAHEIM does not give reasonable notice, either personally or through public communi- cations, the above classification employees will receive TWO (2) HOURS' PAY if the employee reports for work and FOUR (4) HOURS' PAY if the gates are open. OTHER TYPE EMPLOYEES CLASSIFICATION Group A Part-time Janitor Sweeper Part-time Watchman Group B Maid Porter Ticket Clerk Ticket Seller Nurse 2-16-76 to 2-13-77 HOURLY RATE $ 3.57 3.42 2-20-76 to 2-17-77 $ 3.55 2-16-76 to 2-13-77 $ 3.42 3.42 4.13 5.50 2-16-76 to 2-13-77 $ 5.02 The classification and rates of "Part-time Janitor" above shall apply only to employees regularly assigned to perform janitorial functions at specific office locations at Anaheim Stadium. Janitorial -type functions or services .,rendered in all other areas shall be performed by Porters, Sweepers and Maids and they shall be paid at the applicable rate for their respective classifications. In the event ANAHEIM assigns Sweepers, Porters or Maids to perform janitorial type work in the same specific office locations, employees so assigned shall be paid the "Part-time Janitor" rate of pay for each hour or quarterly fraction thereof that they perform work in these specific locations. r If leadmen are used by ANAHEIM in any of the above hourly classifications, they shall receive an additional TWENTY-FIVE CENTS (25(s,) per hour. In the event ANAHEIM assigns Sweepers to operate Scrubmobiles and Power Sweepers, employees so assigned shall receive a premium in the amount of FIFTEEN CENTS (15(,,) per hour above their regular hourly rate of pay for each hour or quarterly fraction thereof that they perform such assignments. In case of rain -out or cancellation of event and if ANAHEIM does not give reasonable notice, either personally or through public communications, the above classification employees will receive TWO (2) HOURS, PAY if the employee reports for work and FOUR (4) HOURS' PAY if the gates are open. Sweepers shall receive a minimum of SEVEN (7) HOURS' PAY for baseball and football games. Sweepers shall receive a minimum of FOUR (4) HOURS' PAY for other events at Anaheim Stadium. All hourly employees in any classification listed in Section 2 shall receive TIME AND ONE-HALF for work in such hourly classification in excess of EIGHT (8) HOURS in any ONE (1) DAY OR FORTY (40) HOURS in any ONE WEEK. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution supersedes Resolution No. 74R-134, AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the effective date of this Resolution shall be February 16, 1976.
