A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING
RESOLUTION NO. 89R-364 WHICH ESTABLISHED RATES OF COMPENSATION FOR
CLASSIFICATIONS DESIGNATED AS MIDDLE MANAGEMENT
WHEREAS, the Human Resources Dffrector has recommended ~n a staff
report dated August 21, 1990, that certain Middle r4~nagement pay policies
relating to merit increases and
1990; and
WHEREAS, as a result thereof, the City Council desires to amend
Resolution No. 89R-364 which established rates of compensatic~ for
classifications designated as Middle Management; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that
amending Resolution No. 89R-364 as set forth herein be]o~ ts in the best
interest of the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, 8E IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Anaheim that Resolution No. 89R-364 be, and the same is hereby, amended as
fol lows:
1. Subsection 5.2 of Section 5 is amended by adding thereto the
fol lowing paragraph:
"Employees in classifications listed in Section 2 of this Resolution
No. 89R-364 may be eligible for a special salary adjustn~nt as approved by the
City Manager."
2. Subsection 5.6 of Section 5 is amended to read as follows:
"An employee who is promoted to a job class listed in this resolution
shall be placed at the minimum of the new range or at a salary in the range
which provides a 15% pay increase as long as it dc~s not exceed the market
point (100% compa-ratio). If a 15% increase would place the employee's salary
beyond the market point, the employee shall receive a minimum of 5% increase or
an increase betw~.~=n 5% and 15% in order to bring the employee to the market
point provided, however, that in no event shall the employ~e's salary exacted
the control point."
8E IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the effective
Resolution No. 89R-364 is August 31, 1990.
AND, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that except as amended h~rein, Resolution
No. 89R-364 shall r~main in full force and effect.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is appnoved and adopted by the City Council
