90-334 RESOLUTION NO~ gOR- A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AI~ENDING RESOLUTION NO. 89R-363 ~ICH ESTABLISHED RATES OF COMPENSATION FOR CLASSIFICATIONS DESIGNATED AS ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGEMENT MEREAS, the Human Resources Director has recommended in a staff report dated August 21, 1990, that certain Administrative ~nagement pay policies relating to merit increases and promotions be amended effective August 31, 1990; and NHEREAS, as a result thereof, the City Council desires to amend Resolution No. 89R-363 which established rates of compensation for classifications designated as Administrative M~nagement; and ~qEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that amending Resolution No. 89R-363 as set forth herein below is in the best interest of the City of Anaheim. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that Resolution No. 89R-363 be, and the same is hereby, amended as follows: 1. Subsection 5.3 of Section 5 is amended by adding thereto the following paragraph: "Employees in classifications listed in Section 2 of this Resolution No. 89R-363 may be eligible for a specla] salary adjustment as approved by the Clty Manager." 2. Subsaction 5.6 of Section 5 is amended to read as follows: "An employee who is promoted to a job class listed in this resolution shall be placed at the minimum of the new range or at a salary in the range which provides a 15% pay increase as long as it does not exceed the market point (100% compa-ratlo). If a 154 increase would place the employee's salary beyond the market point, the employee shall receive a mlnimum of 5% increase or an increase between 54 and 15~ in order to bring the employee to the market point provided, however, that in no event shall the employee's salary exceed the control polnt." BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the effective date of said amendment to Resolution No. 89R-363 is August 31, 1990. AND, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that except as amended herein, Resolution No. 89R-363 shall remain in full force and effect.
