A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE LAND
USE ELEMENT OF THE ANAHEIM GENERAL PLAN DESIG-
NATED AS AMENDMENT NOS. 299-1 and 299-2,
EXHIBIT "A."
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim, pursuant to the
recommendations of the Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim,
adopted a General Plan for the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, on the 7th day of May, 1990, the City Planning
Commission of the City of Anaheim did hold a public hearing to
consider a General Plan Amendment. The General Plan Amendment
does consider changing the land use designation for the area of
land consisting of:
Area 1- Approximately 24 acres consisting of those properties
fronting on the west side of Magnolia Avenue beginning
approximately 325 feet north of the centerline of Lincoln
Avenue and extending north approximately 1,650 feet.
Area 2- Approximately 1.S acres consisting of those
properties located on the south side of Yale Avenue beginning
at the easterly terminus of said street and extending west
approximately 665 feet to the Southern California Edison
Easement; and
WHEREAS, at said public hearing, the City Planning
Commission did duly adopt its Resolution No. PC90-104 containing a
report of its findings, a summary of the evidence presented at
said hearing, and recommending that said Amendment to the General
Plan designated as Amendment Nos. 299-1 and 299-2 be adopted by
the City Council changing the land use designation for the
aforedescribed Area 1 to "LOW-MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL" and for
the aforedescribed Area 2 to "LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL" in
accordance with Exhibit "A"; and
WHEREAS, upon receipt of said Resolution, summary of
evidence, report of findings and recommendations of the City
Planning Commission, the City Council did fix the 14th day of
August, 1990, as the time, and the City Council Chamber in the
Civic Center as the place for a public hearing on said proposed
Amendment Nos. 299-1 and 299-2 and did give notice thereof in the
manner and as provided by law; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did duly hold and conduct such
public hearing and did give all persons interested therein an
opportunity to be heard, and did receive evidence and reports and
did consider the recommendations of the City Planning Commission;
and
GPA NOS. 299-1 and 299-2
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that
Amendment Nos. 299-1 and 299-2 changing the land use designation
in the aforedescribed area in accordance with Exhibit "A" on file
with the City should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that Amendment Nos. 299-1 and 299-2 to the
General Plan changing the land use designation for the
aforedescribed Area 1 to "LOW-MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL" and for
the aforedescribed Area 1 to "LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL" in
accordance with Exhibit "A" on file with the City be, and the same
is hereby, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Planning Department be,
and it is hereby, instructed to amend the General Plan Map to
conform to General Plan Amendment Nos. 299-1 and 299-2 as herein
adopted and approved.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 14th day of August, 1990.
