A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 73R-608,
PERSONNEL RULE 17, SICK LEAVE, SECTION 17.02
RELATING TO SICK LEAVE ACCRUAL AND ADDING
SECTION 17.04 RELATING TO INDUSTRIAL ACCIDENT
BENEFITS.
WHEREAS, the Personnel Director has met and conferred with officials
and employee representatives of recognized employee organizations_ to discuss
wages and hours of work, and
WHEREAS, as a result thereof, the need exists to amend Resolution
No. 73R-608, Rule l7, which established sick leave provisions, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that
adoption of the recommended new provisions is in the best interests of the
City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City:Council of the City of
Anaheim that Resolution No.. 73R-608, Rule 17, be and the same is hereby
amended to read as follows:
17.02 Effective December 26, 1975 regular, full-time employees in the
classified service with an average regular work week of fifty-six
(56) hours shall accrue paid sick leave at the rate of. five (5)
hours for each complete bi-weekly pay period. In addition, each
such employee shall be credited with sixteen (16),hours at the
close of the final complete bi-weekly pay period of each fiscal
year.
17.04 An employee requesting sick leave for an absence from work as a
result of any injury or disease which comes under the State of
California Worker's Compensation Insurance and Safety Act after
eligibility for Industrial Accident leave has ended shall receive
maximum compensation from City in an amount equal to the
difference between temporary disability payments mandated by the
State of California Worker's Compensation Insurance and Safety
Act and his regular basic rate of pay.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the effective date of this Resolution
shall be December 26, 1975.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me this
