A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING.THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
AND THE COUNTY OF ORANGE AND THE ANAHEIM
MEMORIAL HOSPITAL RELATING TO PARAMEDIC.
SERVICES AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND THE
CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT ON
BEHALF OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim, the County of
Orange and Anaheim Memorial Hospital desire to operate
paramedic units on an interim basis pursuant to the
Wedworth-Townsend Paramedic Act (California Health and
Safet'yCode, Sections 1480 through 1485; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim hatsprovidedin its
1975-1976 Budget :for operat1onalizing and maintaining
at least two Mobile Intensive Care Paramedic Units staffed
by firemen paramedics to provide Emergency Rescue Services
in the Anaheim area; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim desires to enter
into an agreement with the County of Orange and the
Anaheim Memorial Hospital to mutually provide paramedic
units, to service the emergency care needs of the citizens
of the Anaheim area on an interim basis; and
WHEREAS, the Anaheim Memorial Hospital can assist
in meeting emergency care needs in the Anaheim area by
operating a paramedic unit in the City of Anaheim with the
cooperation of the City of Anaheim and the County of Orange;
and
WHEREAS, a form of agreement has this day been
submitted to the City Council of the City. of Anaheim, the
terms and conditions whereof are satisfactory to the City;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be
for the benefit and in the best interests of the City. of
Anaheim to approve the proposed agreement with the County
of Orange and Anaheim Memorial Hospital providing for said
paramedic services and that the same should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE., BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the Agreement this day submitted
to the City Council to be made and entered into between the
City of Anaheim and the County of Orange and Anaheim Memorial
Hospital providing for paramedic services upon the terms and
conditions set forth in said Agreement be, and the same is
hereby, approved.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City
Clerk are authorized and directed ta execute said Agreement
on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved: and signed by
