A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM REJECTING ALL BIDS RECEIVED
UP TO THE HOUR OF 2:00 P.M. ON THE 4TH DAY
OF DECEMBER, 1975, FOR THE .EASTRIDGE RESER-
VOIR CONSTRUCTION, AND READVERTISING THE
OPENING OF BIDS THEREON, TRORK ORDER NO. 2095.
WHEREAS, heretofore, to wit, on the 4th day of November,
1975, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did adopt Resolution
No. 75R-574 finding and determining that Public convenience and
necessity required the construction and completion of the East -
ridge Reservoir; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did authorize and direct the
City Clerk to Publish a notice according to law inviting sealed
proposals for the above-mentioned public improvement and fixing
the 4th day of December, 1975, at the hour of 2:00 o'clock P.M.,
as the date and hour for the opening of said bids in the Council
Chamber in the City Hall in the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, upon said 4th day of December, 1975, at the
hour of 2:00 o'clock P.M., the City Clerk and City Engineer did
open the bid received up to that hour, in public, in the City
Hall, in the City of Anaheim, and the City Engineer did review
the bid so received and did report the result thereof to the City
Council at its regular meeting held on the 9th day of December,
1975; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the bid received
is in excess of the estimate of the City Engineer of the cost
of said public improvement and is not representative of actual
construction costs; that said bid should be rejected; and that
said job should be readvertised at a later date; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is in the best
interests of the City of Anaheim to readvertise the opening of
bids for the following described public improvement:
The Eastridge Reservoir, in the City of Anaheim, con-
sisting of furnishing all material, labor, and equip-
ment to construct an enclosed steel water reservoir
including concrete ring wall, steel tank, piping and
fittings, paving, curb and gutter, fencing, grading,
landscaping and irrigation system, and cathodic pro-
tection in accordance with the project plans and speci-
fications on file in the office of the City Engineer,
Work order No. 2095.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the bid received up to the hour of 2:00
o'clock P.M. on December 4, 1975, reviewed by the City Engineer
and submitted to the City Council on December 9, 1975, be rejected
and the above-mentioned public improvement be readvertised as
follows:

That the Notice Inviting
Sealed Proposals
shall be
published on December 18
and 26, 1975.
2.
That the opening of the bids shall be on
the 15th
day of January, 1976.
3.
That the award of the contract will be on
the 29th day
of January, 1976.
