90-323 RESOLUTION NO. 90R - A RESOLUTION OF THE GITY COUNGIL OF THE GITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING A LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE ANAHEIM POLIGE ASSOOIATION AND THE CITY OF ANAHEIM WHEREAS, on June 28, 1989, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 89R-281, approving a Memorandum of Understanding between the Anaheim Police Association and the City of Anaheim; and WHEREAS, the Labor Relations Director met and conferred with officials and employee representatives of the Anaheim Police Association, to discuss specific concerns relative to ARTIGLE 48 - SPECIAL ASSIGNMENTS; and WHEREAS, a Letter of Understanding dated August 6, 1990, between the parties has been prepared and signed amending ARTICLE 48 SPECIAL ASSIGNMENTS; and NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that the Letter of Understanding dated August 06, 1990, between the Anaheim Police Association and the City of Anaheim, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference herein, is hereby approved and said Memorandum of Understanding is hereby amended in accordance with the terms and conditions of the said Letter of Understanding. CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING between the ANAHEIM POLICE ASSOCIATION and the CITY OF ANAHEIM The Anaheim Police Association (APA) and the City of ANAHEIM (ANAHIEM), after meeting and conferring, have reached an understanding to amend ARTICLE 48 - SPECIAL ASSIGNMENTS, to read as follows: 48.0 A Police Officer assigned to Accident Investigation shall be classified as a Police Officer - Detective/Investigator after one complete consecutive year in this assignment. 48.1 ANAHEIM agrees to pay five percent (5%) per hour in addition to an employee's regular rate of pay to licensed helicopter pilots assigned to helicopter duty. 48.2 ANAHEIM agrees to pay ten percent (10~) per hour in addition to an employees regular rate of pay to licensed helicopter pilots with a commercial license assigned to helicopter duty. 48.3 Effective June, 1990, a Police Officer or Police Sergeant assigned to Detective/Investigator, Polygraph Examiner or Motorcycle duty as of the end of the pay period including June 15th, shall receive an annual assignment payment of $500. It is further agreed that the payment due under Article 48 - SPECIAL ASSIGNMENTS to Police Sergeants and Police Officers - Polygraph Examiner shall be made the pay day following the pay period in which the City Council adopts this Letter of Understanding.
