A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AND AUTHOR
OF ANAHEIM IZING THE
EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY
AND YORBA LINDA COUNTY WATER DIS-
TRICT IN CONNECTION WITH ADJUSTMENT OF THE
BOUNDARY LINE BETWEEN THE PARTIES TO SAID
AGREENENT.
WHEREAS, th6 City of Anaheim and Yorba Linda County
Water District have the power to provide water and sewer services
within their respective boundaries; and

WHEREAS, due to the development of propertyin Tact
r
8511 in the City of Anaheim along the boundary line between the
City of Anaheim and Yorba Linda County Water District's service
areas, the existingboundary line will not conform to new sub-
division property ines; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim and Yorba Linda County
Water District have previously entered into an Agreement dated
November 30, 1965, the terms of which, among other things, pro-
vide for the parties to cooperate with each other in an effort
to eliminate duplication of water and sanitary sewer service and
cost to residents, taxpayers and users within the boundaries of
both Anaheim and Yorba Linda County Water District, and to seek
actively to prevent the creation of such duplications in the"fu.-
Lure ; and
WHEREAS, said Agreement further provides that the
parties cooperate with each other to provide backup emergency
ties on reasonable terms and conditions; and
WHEREAS, the City will have certain future customers
in said Tract 8511 in Anaheim which could be provided better
and more efficient service by Yorba Linda County Water District,
and the District will have certain future customers within its
service area of said Tract which could be better and more effi-
ciently served by the City; and
WHEEREAS, Sections 56350 through 56353 of i-hb.Califor-
nia Government Code provide for minor boundary changes under
certain conditions; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City of Anaheim and
Yorba Linda County Water District to exchange service areas of
near -equal size in order that they may more efficiently provide
service to certain fdture customers.
WHEREAS, an Agreement has been prepared, the terms
of which are satisfactory to the City of Anaheim.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim tat the said Agreement between the City
and the Yorba Linda County Water District providing for adjust
Ment of the boundary line between the Parties be, and the same
is hereby, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
be, and they ate hereby, authorized to execute said Agreement
for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
