A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AND THE ORANGE COUNTY COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL, INC. RELATING TO THE
OPERATION OF A PUBLIC SERVICE EMPLOYMENT
PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim desires to provide
for a public service employment program for unemployed City
residents; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim has received a
Subgrant from the Orange County Manpower Commission to
Conduct a Public Service Employment Program under Title II
of the Comprehensive Employment and Training Act of 1973;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim requires the services
of an agency with special knowledge and experience in
operating such public service employment training program;
and
WHEREAS, the Orange County Community Development
Council, Inc. has met the requirements for operating said
public service employment program and is willing to conduct
such a program pursuant to Title II of the Comprehensive
Employment and Training Act of 1973; and
WHEREAS, the Orange County Community Development
Council, Inc. has submitted to the City a form of Agreement
providing for the furnishing of specialized services required
to conduct said public service employment program; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds. that it would be
for the benefit and in the best interests of the City to
approve the proposed agreement between the City of Anaheim
and the Orange County Community Development Council, Inc.,
and that the same should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that said Agreement this day submitted
to the City Council to be made and entered into between the
City of Anaheim and the Orange County Community Development
Council, Inc. providing for the furnishing of specialized
services required to conduct said public service employment
picogram upon the terms and conditions and for the compensation
set forth in said Agreement be, and the same is hereby, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City
Clerk be, and they are hereby, authorized to execute said
Agreement for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
