A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COLIVICIL OF THE CIlly
OF A-1441AHIEIM REJECTING ALL BIDS FLECEITTED UP TO
'IAB HOUR OF 2:00 P.M. ON THE 10TH DAY OF JUNE,
1976, FOR THE 11,110DJESKA RLPUK? PLAY EQUIP2-4ENT
CONSTRUCTION, AND READVERTISING THE OPENING
OF BIDS THEREON, WORK ORDER NO. 825.
1THEREAS, heretofore, to wit, on Vlhe 18th day of May,
1976, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did adopt Resolution
No. 76R-270 finding and determining that public convenience and
necessity required the construction and completion of the _h4odjeska
Park Play Equipment Construction; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did authorize and direct the
City Clerk to publish a notice according to lam inviting sealed
proposals for tthe above-ruentioned public improvernent and Fixing.
the 19th day of June, 1976, at the hour of 2:00 o'clock P.M., as
the date and hour for the opening of said bids in the Council
Chamber in the City Hall in the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, upon said 10th day of June, 1976, at the hour
of 2: 00 o'clock P.M., the City Clerk and City Engineer did open
the bid received up to that hour, in public, in the City Hall, in
the City of Anaheim, and the City Engineer did review the bid so
received and did report the results thereof to the City Council
at its regular meeting held on the 15th day of June, 1976; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the bid received
is in excess of the estimate of the City Engineer of the cost of
Saiz public improvement and is not representative of actual con -

costs; that said bid should be rejected; and that said
job should be readvertised at a later date; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is in the best
interests of the City of Anaheim to readvertise the opening of
bids for the following described Public improvement:
TModjeska Park Plav Equipment Construction, in the
City of Anaheim, consisting of the construction and
the installation of all play equipment; all excava-
tion necessary for the installation of all play
equipment in icated on the plans; all concrete and
reinforcing requiredforpour into footings -4ndj-*_ca-
ted on the plans; and all other appurtenant work as
shown on -the Dlans and delineated in the sPecifica-
ti®ns on file in the Office of the City Engineer,
Work Order No. 825.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT P-17SOLVEoD, by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the bid received up to the hour of 2:00
o'clock P.M. on June 10, 1976, reviewed by the City Engineer and
submitted to the City Council on June 1.5, 1976, be resected and
the above-mentioned, public improvement be readvertised as follows:

1. That the Notice inviting Sealed Proposals shall be
published on June 24th and July lst, 19-76.
2. That the opening of the bids shall be on July 8, 1976.
3. That the award of the contract will be on July 13, 1976.
