A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF A-NAHEIM REJECTING 11-r.L BIDS RECEIVED TTP TO

THE HOUR OF 2:00 P.1111. 07INT THE 10TH DAY OF JUNE,
1976, FOR THE 1"MONZANITA EDARK PLAY EQUIPMENT
CONSTRUCT -ION, AND READtMRTISING THE OPENING
OF BIDS THEREON, WORK ORDER NO. 794.
WHEREAS, heretofore, to wit, on the 18th day of Play,
1976, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did adopt Resolution
No. 76R-269 finding and determining that public convenience and
necessity required the construction and completion of the Manzanita
Park Play Equipment Construction; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did authorize and direct the

City Clerk to publish a notice according to law inviting sealed
proposals for the above-mentioned Public improvement and fixing
-the 10th day of June, 1976, at the hour of 2:00 o'clock P.17-4., as
the date and. hour for the opening of said bids in the Council
Cha ober in the City Hall in the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, upon said 10th day of June, 1976, at the hour
of 2:00 o'clock P.M., the City Clerk and City Engineer did open
the bid received up to that hour, in public, in the City Hall, in
the Citv of Anaheim, and the City Engineer did review the bid so
received and did report the results thereof to the City Council
at its regular meeting held on the 15th day of June, 1976; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the bid received
is in excess of the estimate of the City Engineer of the cost of
said public improvement and is rot representative of actual con-
struction costs; that said bid should be rejected; aLnj that said
job should be readvertised at a later date; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds -that it is in the best
interests of the City of Anaheim to -readvert-ise the opent4
ng o-11]:
bids for t1he following described' PuLlic i-i-n-oroventent:
,4anzani-a Park Play Eauipi-i�:ent construction, in the
City of Anaheim, consisting of the construction and
the installation of all play equipment; all excava-
tion necessary for the installation of all play
equipment indicated on the plans; all concrete and
reinforcing required for pour into footings indica-
ted on the nlans; and all other aranurtenant work
as shown on -the plans and delineated in the speci-
fications on file in the Office of the City Engineer,
Work Order No. 794.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the bid received up to the hour of 2:00
O'clock P.M. on June 10, 1976, reviewed by the City Engineer and
submitted to the City Council on June 15, 1976, be rejected and
the above-mentioned public irtyprovement be readvertised as follows:
1. That the Notice Inviting Sealed Proposals shall be
published on June 24th and July lst, 1976.
2. That the opening of the bids shall be on July 8, 1976.
3. That the award of the contract will be on July 13, 1976.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
