A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY

OF ANIAHEIM DIRECTING THE COnMU14ITY REDEVELOP-
YIENT CObSIISSION TO INSTITUTE PROCEEDINGS TO
CONSIDER THE AIMENDMENT OF THE REDEVELOPMENT
PLAN FOR REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT ALPHA TO EX-
CLUDE CERTAIN LAND FROM THE PROJECT AREA.
WHEREAS, the Redevelopment -Plan for Redevelopment Project
Alpha was adopted by the City Council of the City of Anaheim on
July 19, 1973, by Ordinance No. 3190; and
WHEREAS, -Sections 33450-33458 of the California Community
Redevelopment Law provide the procedures for amending the Redevel-
opment Plan, including a change in the boundaries of the Project
area to exclude land from the Project area; and
WHEREAS, since the adoption of Redevelopment Project
Alpha certain portions of the Project area have undergone private
development and improvement in conformance with the goals and poli-
cies of the City as expressed in the Anaheim General Plan and it
has become probable that other portions of the Project area not yet
developed or improved will develop privately without the necessity
of their inclusion within the Redevelopment Project area; and
WHEREAS, it is hereby determined that it' ay be desirable
and in the best interests of the City to exclude from the Project
area of Redevelopment Project Alpha those certain land areas as
shown on the map attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and incorporated
herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim as follows:
The City Council hereby directs the Conmiunity Redevelopment
Commission of the City of Anaheim to work with staff and consul-
tants to the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency and City Council to pre-
pare documents and commence the procedures necessary to exclude
from the boundaries of Redevelopment Project Alpha that land
shown on the map attached hereto as Exhibit AW
