A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ESTABLISHING RATES OF COMPENSATION
FOR THE JOB CLASS POLICE CAPTAIN BY AMENDING
RESOLUTION NO. 74R-522 AND SUPERSEDING
RESOLUTION NO. 76R-230
WHEREAS, the City Council and the City Manager have reviewed
the rates of compensation for the job class, Police Captain, and have
determined a need for establishing new rates of compensation, and
WHEREAS, as a result thereof, the need exists to amend
Resolution No. 74R-522 and supersede Resolution No. 76R- 230 which
established rates of,compensation for Police Captain, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that
establishing new rates of compensation for Police Captain is in the best
interests of the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of Anaheim does hereby amend Resolution No. 74R-522 and supersede Resolution
No. 76R-230 by establishing a new rate of compensation for Police Captain
as follows:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that an employee in the job class, Police
Captain, shall be compensated at his existing rate of pay until the
appropriate department head affirms that the services of the employee have
been found to be satisfactory. At such time an employee shall have his
salary adjusted and shall retain his salary step status. -in the newly
authorized salary schedule and shall retain the same aniversary date for
purposes of merit pay increases, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that except to the extent amended, Resolution
No. 74R-522 shall remain in full force and effect, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the effective date of this Resolution
shall be April 2, 1976.
