A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM AFFIRMING THE CONSISTENCY
BETWEEN THE CIRCULATION ELEMENT OF THE
ANAHEIM GENERAL PLAN AND THE ORANGE COUNTY
MASTER PLAN OF ARTERIAL HIGHWAYS
WHEREAS, the Orange County Board of Supervisors and the
Orange County Division of the League of California Cities have
agreed upon a cooperative financial program for the establishment,
construction, and maintenance of a County Arterial Highway
Financing Program; and
WHEREAS, a street included in the Orange County Master
Plan of Arterial Highways is of importance for Countywide
circulation and should meet specified criteria to provide and
maintain adequate traffic carrying capacity; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim has a total of 143.05 miles
of streets on the Orange County Master Plan of Arterial Highways.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim as follows:
1. The Circulation Element of the Anaheim General Plan
is mutually satisfactory and in conformity with that of the County
and adjacent cities; and
2. The City of Anaheim has adopted a uniform setback
ordinance to protect ultimate arterial street rights-of-way; and
3. The City of Anaheim has adopted provisions for the
limitation of access to and from the arterial highway system in
order to protect the integrity of the system.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this17th day of July, 1990.
