1976-648RESOLUTION NO. 76R- 648 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING RESOLUTION INTO. 76R-518 PERTAINING TO CONFLICT OF INTEREST CODE. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim, pursuant to Resolution No. 76R-518, did adopt a Conflict of Interest Code applicable to the members of the City Council pursuant to the Political Reform Act of 1974; and WHEREAS, the City Clerk did transmit said Conflict of Interest Code to the State of California Fair Political Practices Commission; and WHEREAS, the staff of the Fair Political Practices Commission has requested two changes in the City Council Conflict of Interest Code. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that Resolution No. 76R-518 be, and it is hereby, amended to read as follows: °`Section 1. Adoption of Conflict of Interest Code. In compliance TWiVa Section o _ t e Government Code, the City Council hereby adopts this Conflict of Interest Code. Section 2. Application of Code. This Conflict of nterest Co e s1 al -1- eapp sc able to members of the City Council. Section 3. Disclosure. Council members are already required toEsc os- e -investments, interest in real property and income under Sections 872.00 and follow- ing of the Government Code. Therefore, no other or additional disclosure requirements are imposed by this Conflict of Interest Code. Section 4. Circumstances RequirinDisqualification. Any —mem"G Requiring Disqualification. o t e City Counc� , w etner acting as a Council member or as governing board member or com- missioner of any city agency, must disqualify himself or herself from making or participating in the making of any decisions which will foreseeably have a material financial effect, distinguishable from its effect on the public generally, on any economic interest, as de- fined in Government Code Section 87103. No member shall be prevented from making or participating in the making of any decision to the extent his or her par- ticipation is legally required for the decision to be made. Section 5. Definitions. Except as otherwise indi- cated, he definitions contained in the Political Reform Act of 1974 (Government Code Section 31000) and regulations adopted pursuant thereto are incorporated into this Conflict of Interest Code. -1- 0 0 Section 6.
