1976-619i 0 RESOLUTION NO. 76R- 619 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM ACCEPTING A NEGOTIATED PROPOSAL AND AWARDING A CONTRACT TO A RESPONSIBLE PARTY WHERE SAID PROPOSAL CONFOMIS TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM'S REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL LEGAL ADVERTISING REQUIRED BY LAW TO BE PUBLISHED IN A NEWSPAPER OF GENERAL CIRCULATION, PRINTED AND PUBLISHED WITHIN THE CITY. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did, in accordance with Section 517 of The City of Anaheim Charter, cause to be negotiated a proposal for all legal advertising to be done by the City of Anaheim and required by law to published in a newspaper of general circulation, printed and published within said City, for the year commencing August 1, 1976, and ending July 31, 1977, in conformity with the specifications for such advertising which specifications are marked as and incor- porated by reference to Exhibit "A," "Specifications for Print- ing and Advertising of the City of Anaheim, Series of 1959," on file in the Office of the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim; and WHEREAS, the City Attorney of the City of Anaheim did negotiate with the Anaheim Bulletin the attached proposal; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposal negotiated with the Anaheim Bulletin, 232 South Lemon Street, Anaheim, California 92805, responds to the City of Anaheim's -requirements in quality, fitness and capacity necessary for the publication of all legal advertising of the City of Anaheim re- quired by law to be published in a newspaper of general circula- tion, printed and published inside the City; and WHEREAS, the City Council further finds that said negotiated proposal with the Anaheim Bulletin conforms with the specifications for said advertising on file in the Office of the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim and that the Anaheiiml3ulletin is responsible, and that the proposal negotiated with the above- named party should be accepted and a contract awarded to said party in accordance therewith. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that the proposal negotiated with the Anaheim Bulletin, 232 South Lemon Street, Anaheim, California for the furnishing of all legal advertising to be done by the City, required by law to be published in a newspaper of general circulation, printed and published within the City of Anaheim, for the year commencing August 1, 1976, and ending July 31, 1977, in conformity with the specifications on file in the Office of the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim be, and the same is hereby, accepted and that a contract for said legal advertising be, and the same is hereby, awarded to said above-named party. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the idayor and the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim be, and they are hereby, authorized and directed to make, execute and enter into, for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim, a written contract with the Anaheim Bulletin for the furnishing of all legal advertising to be done by the City, required by law to be published in a newspaper of -1- general circulation, printed and publisheC, within the City of Anaheim, upon the terms and conditions as specified in the nego- tiated proposal, the specifications on file in the Office of the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim and in strict accordance with the terms, conditions and provisions of this resolution.
