A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEI14 APPROVING THE TERI-IS AND CONDITIONS
OF A JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT WITH THE CITIES
OF GARDEN GROVE AND ORANGE IN CONNECTION WITH
A FIRE TRAINING FACILITY, AND AUTHORIZING AND
DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE
SAID AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM.
WHEREAS, the Cities of Anaheim, Garden Grove, and
Orange have determined that there is a need by said cities
for a consolidated fire training system; and
WHEREAS, such consolidated fire training system
can adequately serve the needs of all said cities; and
WHEREAS, Title 1, Division 7, Chapter 5, commencing
with Section 6500 of the California Government Code provides
for the Joint exercise of Powers by local governmental
entities; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the said cities to
jointly construct, operate, and maintain a fire training
system for their mutual advantage and concern; and
WHEREAS, a Joint Powers Agreement has been prepared
for the purpose of exercising such joint powers in order to
construct, operate, and maintain said consolidated fire
training system, with facilities and appurtenances necessary
or convenient therefor; and
WHEREAS, the terms and conditions of said agreement
are acceptable to the City Council of the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the terms and
conditions of said agreement are hereby approved and
accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
be, and they are hereby, authorized and directed to execute
said agreement on behalf of the City Council of the City of
Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 5th day of October, 1976.
