A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF `i•H.E CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING A PROPOSED LEASE tuITH
ORANGE UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR THE LEAS-
IiVG OF CERTAIN PREMISES FROM SAID SCHOOL
DISTRICT FOR A PUBLIC PARK AND PLAYGROUND,
AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR 1-123D CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE SAID LEASE FOR AND ON BEHALF OF THE
CITY.
WHEREAS, Orange Unified School District is the owner
of certain real property, located generally west of Pinney Drive
and north of Gerda Drive, City of Anaheim, consisting of approxi-
mately 5.30 acres as to Parcel "A" and .7 acre as to Parcel "B"
lying adjacent to Crescent Elementary School, for which no use
in the immediate future for classroom buildings is contemplated;
and
WHEREAS, the Citv of Anaheim desires the use of said
property for a public park and playground; and
WHEREAS, the Orange Unified School District has offered
to lease said property to the City of Anaheim and a lease has
been submitted to the City Council to be made and entered into by
and between said School District and the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that
said property is an adequate and suitable location for a public
park and playground and that such use would be to the advantage
and best interest of the City of Anaheim, the Orange Unified School
District and the general public and that said offer should, there-
fore, be accepted and said lease approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RE -SOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the lease submitted to the City Council,
to be made and entered into by and between the City of Anaheim an
Orange Unified School District for the leasing of certain real
property, located generally west of Pinney Drive and ngxth of
Gerda Drive, City of Anaheim, consisting of approximately 5.30
acres as to Parcel "A" and .7 acre as to Parcel "B" lying adja-
cent to Crescent Elementary School, prom said School District for
the purpose of developing and maintaining a public park and pla�,�-
ground, upon the terms and conditions set forth in said lease bef-
and the same is hereby, approved.
BE IT FURTHER P,ESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk be,
and they are hereby, authorized and directed to execute said lease
for and on behalf of the City of Anaheian.
