1976-5880 • RESOLUTION NO. 76R- 588 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE AND ABANDON CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY AND FIXING A DATE FOR HEARING THEREON. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim has elected to proceed under the provisions of the Street Vacation Act of 1941 in connection with a request for vacation and aban- donment of that certain roadway, commonly known as Palm Street, located between Ball Road and Harbor Boulevard, in the City of Anaheim, and more fully hereinafter described, subject to the following conditions: 1. A public utility easement together with all reason- able rights,of ingress and egress be reserved unto the City of Anaheim, Pacific Telephone Company and the Southern California Gas Company over, under and across all of the area proposed for abandonment lying easterly of the centerline of said Palm Street to accommodate all existing facilities. 2. Applicants to install full street improvements across the north side of Ball Road to close Palm Street and make adequate provisions to handle drainage which presently reaches Palm Street as required by the City Engineer. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that it hereby declares its intention to vacate, abandon and close to public use that certain roadway, commonly known as Palm Street, located between Ball Road and Harbor Boulevard, in the City of Anaheim, as it may relate to the following described property: That certain roadway, commonly known as Palm Street, located in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, lying between Lots 27 and 28 of Anaheim Extension, as shown on a map made by Wm. Hamel in 1868 filed in the office of the County Recorder of Los Angeles County,to be abandoned, described as follows: Beginning at the southwest corner of said Lot 272 said corner being the centerline intersection of Ball Road and Lewis Street; thence S 89° 46' 30" W, 25.71 feet; thence N 150 57' 001' W, 591.10 feet, more or less, to an inter- section with.a line parallel with and 53.00 feet easterly of the centerline of Harbor Blvd., a radial line bearing S 840 00' 58' E passes through said point, said point of intersection being a point in a curve concave northwest- erly and having a radius of 1053 feet; thence Northeast- erly along said parallel line to an intersection with a line parallel along said curve through a central angle of 10° 21' 37" an arc distance of 190.40 feet to an inter- section with a line parallel with and 30 feet easterly of the centerline of said Palm Street, a radial line bearing N 850 37' 25° E passes through said point of intersection; thence S 150 57' 00" E, 259.20 feet; thence N 740 03' 00" E, 2.00 feet to an intersection with a line parallel with and 32.00 feet easterly of the centerline of said Palm Street; thence S 150 57' 00''E) 429.17 feet, more or less, - 1 - 75-15A i • to the beginning of a curve concave northeasterly and having a radius of 15 feet; thence Southeasterly and Easterly along said curve through a central angle of 75° 16' 301' an arc distance of 19.44 feet to an intersection with a line parallel with and 53.00 feet northerly of the centerline of Ball Road; thence S 0° 13' 30`P E, 53.00 feet to the centerline of Ball Road; thence S 89° 46' 30" W3 33.24 feet to the point of beginning. Excepting therefrom any portion thereof lying within Ball Road on the south 53.00 -foot wide half street. and it elects to proceed under the provisions of the Street Vacation Act of 1941 subject to the conditions hereinabove set forth. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a time and place for hear- ing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vaca- tion and abandonment has been fixed on the 12th day of October , 1976, at 2.30 o'clock P.M. in t e Council Chamber zn t e City Hall in the City of Anaheim. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this resolution and shall cause the same to be published in the Anaheim Bulletin, a newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and circulated in said City of Anaheim.
