A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM AND THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, DEPART-
MENT OF HIGHWAY PATROL, RELATING TO COMMERCIAL
ENFORCEMENT CLASSES FOR ANAHEIM POLICE OFFICERS
AT THE CALIFORNIA HIGHWAY PATROL ACADEMY.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim desires to send certain
officers of the Anaheim Police Department to attend Commercial
Enforcement classes conducted by the State of California, De-
partment of Highway Patrol, at the California Highway Patrol
Academy; and
WHERE -AS, the State of California, Department of
California Highway Patrol, is willing to furnish such training
services and to allow certain officers of the Anaheim Police
Department to use its Highway Patrol Academy facilities while
attending said training classes; and
WHEREAS, the State of California, Department of
California Highway Patrol has submitted Training Agreement
No. 140 providing for the training, housing and status of
Anaheim Police Officers while attending Commercial Enforce-
ment classes at the California Highway Patrol Academy and pro-
viding for the manner of bearing the cost and expense of train-
ing and housing Anaheim Police Officers attending said classes;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be
for the benefit and in the best interests of the City to enter
into said Agreement with the State of California, Department
of California Highway Patrol, and that the same should be
approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the.City Council
of the City of Anaheim that Training Agreement No,140, this
day submitted to the City Council to be made and entered into
between the City of Anaheim and the State of California,
Department of Highway Patrol, providing for the training, hous-
ing and status of Anaheim Police Officers attending Commercial
Eftforeement classes at its California Highway Patrol Academy
upon .t.he terms and conditions, and for the compensation set
forth in said Agreement be, and the same is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
be, and they are hereby authorized to execute said Agreement
for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
