RESOLUTION NO. 76R- 573
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM AND THE ORANGE COUNTY COMMUNITY DE-
VELOPMENT COUNCIL, INC,, RELATING TO A YOUTH
DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim desires to sponsor a
Youth Development Program for youths, ages 14 and over, to
provide young people from low-income families with paid work
experience, counseling, career education, tutoring and other
supportive services; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim requires the services
of an Agency with special knowledge and expertise in the
operation of youth development programs; and.
WHEREAS, the Orange County Community Development
Council, Inc., is willing to furnish such specialized per-
sonnel, material and equipment as is required to provide,organ-
ize and operate a Youth Development Program; and
WHEREAS, the Orange County Community Development
Council, Inc., has submitted to the City a form of Agreement
providing for the furnishing of specialized personnel, material
and equipment required to conduct a Youth Development Program;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be for
the benefit and in the best interests of.the City to approve
the proposed Agreement between the City of Anaheim and the
Orange County Community Development Council, Inc., and that the -
same should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City' -Council -
of the City of Anaheim that said Agreement this day submitted
to the City Council to be made and entered into between the
City of Anaheim and the Orange County Community Development
Council, Inc., providing for the furnishing of specialized per-
sonnel, material and equipment required to conduct said Youth
Development Program upon the terms and conditions and for the
compensation set forth in said Agreement be, and the same is
hereby, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City
Clerk be,_and they are hereby, authorized to execute said
Agreement for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 21st day of September , 1976.
