A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING A LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING
BETWEEN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AND THE ANAHEIM
POLICE ASSOCIATION
WHEREAS, on December 12, 19~9, the City Council
adopted Resolution No. 87R510, approving a Memorandum of
Understanding between the City of Anaheim and the Anaheim Police
Association; and
WHEREAS, the Labor Relations Director met and
conferred with officials and employee representatives of the
Anaheim Police Association to discuss specific concerns relative
to amending Article 44, General Overtime of said Memoranda of
Understanding; and
WHEREAS, a Letter of Understanding dated
June 20, 1990, between the parties has been prepared and signed
amending Article 44, General Overtime of the current Memoranda
of Understanding, said amendments to be effective June 20, 1990;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does
find that it is in the best interests of the City of Anaheim to
approve said Letter of Understanding.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the Letter of Understanding dated
June 20, 1990, between the City of Anaheim and the Anaheim
Police Association, copies of which are attached hereto and
incorporated by reference herein, are hereby approved and said
Memoranda of Understanding are hereby amended in accordance with
the terms of said Letter of Understanding.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by
the City Council of the City of Anaheim this 10th day
of July , 1990.

LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING
BETWEEN THE
ANAHEIM POLICE ASSOCIATION
AND THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM
The Anaheim Police Association and the City of Anaheim, after meeting
and conferring, have reached an understanding to amend Article 44
General Overtime, by adding Article 44.3 as follows:
44.3 ANAHEIM and the Anaheim Police Association agree that
overtime assignments to Police Sergeant positions at
events held in facilities operated by ANAHEIM for
which ANAHEIM is reimbursed shall be made to the
following groups in the following order:
1. Current Police Sergeants
Employees currently employed as Police Sergeants
who voluntarily request an assignment to work
overtime at such events.
2. Police Lieutenants/Police Captains
Management employees who voluntarily requested an
assignment to work overtime at such events after
the primary group has been depleted.
At such times as management employees work events
under the provisions of this Article, they shall
be paid 1.5 times the hourly rate of Police
Sergeant Post Advanced "E" Step.
3. Police Sergeants Ordered To Work
Employees currently employed as Police Sergeant
who are ordered to work the event.
