APPROVING THE DESIGNS, PLAN , WINGS
AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE ONSTRUCTION THEREOF;
AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTIO~ OF SAID PUBLIC IM-
PROVE~mNT IN ACCORDANCE WITij SAID PLANS, SPECI-
FICATIONS, ETC.; AND AUTHOR~ZING AND DIRECTING
THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH A I NOTICE INVITING
SEALED PROPOSALS FOR THE CO~STRUCTION THEREOF.
WHEREAS, public convenience land necessity require the
construction and completion of a publ~c improve~nt in the City
of Anaheim, to wit:
The water improvement along the Rou~e 57 Freeway from La
Palma Avenue to south of Ball Road,i in the City of Anaheim,
consisting of furniShing and install1ing 24" diameter casing;
constructing steel, cast iron, and poncrete cylinder pipe
siphons; installing sand blow-offs assemblies; installing
valving assembly; excavating and we~ding concrete cylinder
pipe joints; trench resurfacing; an~ appurtenant work as
more particularly set forth in the ~lans and specifications
on file in the Office of the City Clerk or City Engineer,
Work Order No. 2253.

WHEREAS, the City Council fi*d8 that the detailed

public improvement above mentioned, ar+ in accordance with good
eD9ineerin9 practice and are adequate ~o serve the needs and
requirements of the City of Anaheim an4 the citizens and

intended, and that they are adequate r the construction of
said public improvement and should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESO~D by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the detailed ~esigns, plans, profiles,
drawings and specifications for said~' lie improvement herein-
above mentioned and described, be, an the same are hereby,
approved and adopted as prepared by s id Pub~t~
Works Department i .
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED~hat said public improvement
shall be constructed in accordance wi said detailed designs,
plans, profiles, drawings and specifi tions as prepared by said
Public Works De artment and hereby
approved, and such addenda or modific ions thereto as may be
approved prior to the awarding of bidsl therefor.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED thatl the City Clerk of the City
of Anaheim be, and she is hereby, authprized and directed to
publish a notice according to law, in~ting sealed proposals for
the furnishing of all plant, labor, selrvices, materials and
equipment, and all ut~lities and trans~ortation, including power,
fuel and water, and performing all wor~ necessary to construct
and complete, in a good and workmanlik~ manner, in stric~accor-
dance with said detailed designs, plan$, profiles, d~awinqs and
specifications as prepared by said Publ~S( ~~~, .
Department , the pub li c improvement._ erei~ve men-
tioned and described, and fixing the 3rd day of . May
1973 , at the hour of 2:00 o'clock P.M. as the .date and hour
for-tne opening of said bids at the City Council Chamber in the
City Hall in the City of Anaheim, and that said nqtice shall be
published twice, the first of which publicationssJlall beat .
least ten (10) days prior to the date fixed for the Qpening of
bids, and that said publications shall be at least five (5) days
apart.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the successful bidder
or bidders shall be required to enter into a contract with the
City of Anaheim in the manner and form approved by the City
Attorney of the City of Anaheim for th~ construction,installa-
tion and completion of said public imp~ovement her.einabove
mentioned and described, in accordance with the-plans and speci-
fications prepared by said P~lic Wo~s DeDa~qt 1

Sections and the laws of the State of California, and shall be
required to post bonds and insurance in the amoUrtts and within
