A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK
TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY
WITH THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA RELATING TO LAND-
SCAPING OF THE ROUTE 5 FREEWAY ( Katella Avenue
Overcrossing).
WHEREAS.. the Division of Highways of the State of
California has current plans for the landscaping of the Route
5 Freeway between the Santa Ana River and Santa Ana Street in
the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, in connection therewith, the State desires
to cooperate with the City in said landscaping, particularly to
the extent of sharina in the costs of landscaping the embankments
at the Katella Avenue overcrossing; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is in the best
interests of the City to enter into an agreement with the State
of California cooperating in said landscaping and sharing
equitably in the costs thereof.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the Mayor and City Clark be, and they
are hereby, authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the
City of Anaheim that certain Cooperative Agreement with the
State of California, being Agreement No. 2921.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Finance Director
be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to make payments
when and as specified in said Cooperative Agreement,.estimated
to be the sum of $3500.00.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 3rd day of April , 1973.
