A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE
EXECUTION OF A LETTER AGREEMENT RELATIVE TO
PURCHASE OF AN EASEMENT AND A FEE PARCEL FROM
THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA (Riverside Freeway
W/o Imperial).
WHEREAS, in the course of the construction of the
Riverside Freeway west of Imperial Highway, the Division of
Highways of the State of California found it necessary to
realign portions of a City of Anaheim sewer line: and
WHEREAS, the State of California has offered to quit-
claim said easement to the City of Anaheim and to grant to the
City fee title to a parcel in the area within which a City of
Anaheim water valve is located, all in consideration of the sum
of $50.00; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is in the best
interests of the City to thus acquire fee title to the parcel
surrounding the water valve and to acquire the realigned sewer
easement and that the consideration offered by the State of
California is fair and reasonable.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the Mayor be, and he is hereby, author-
ized and directed to execute said letter agreement dated February
6, 1973, and bearing the designation No. D- C2565.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Finance Director
be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to draw a warrant
in the amount of $50.00 payable to the State of California to be
delivered to the Right of Way Section when advised of the receipt
by the City of a Director's Deed covering the transaction, and
that the same be charged against Work Order No. 1234.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 3rd day of April , 1973.
