RESOLUTION NO. 76R-479
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM REJECTING ALL BIDS RECEIVED UP TO
THE HOUR OF 2:00 P.M. ON THE 22nd DAY OF JULY
1976, FOR THE MAINTENANCE CONTRACT FOR TRAFFIC
SIGNALS, AND READVERTISING THE OPENING OF BIDS
THEREON, ACCOUNT NUMBER 100-456-245.
WHEREAS, heretofore, on the 29th day of June, 1976,
the City Council of the City of Anaheim did adopt Resolution
No. 76R-374 finding and determining that public convenience
and necessity required a maintenance contract for traffic
signals in the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did authorize and direct
the City Clerk to publish a notice according to law inviting
sealed proposals for the above-mentioned public improvement
and fixing the 22nd day of July, 1976, at the hour of 2:00
o'clock P.M., as the date and hour for the opening of said
bids in the Council Chamber in the City Hall in the City of
Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, upon said 22nd day of July, 1976, at the
hour of 2:00 o'clock P.M., the City Clerk and City Engineer
did open the bids received up to that hour, in public, in the
City Hall, in the City of Anaheim, and the City Engineer did
review the bids so received and did report the results thereof
to the City Council at its regular meeting held on the 10th day
of August, 1976; and
WHEREAS, after a question was raised as to the
qualifications of the two low bidders and the amounts of said
bids, the City Council finds that it is in the best interests
of the City to reject all bids received and to readvertise
the opening of bids for the following described public improve-
ment:
Maintenance contract for traffic signals, in the City
of Anaheim, consisting of traffic signal maintenance,
repair of damage, preventive maintenance, painting of
equipment and all appurtenant work as described in
the City of Anaheim Traffic Signal Maintenance Contract
Documents and Specifications on file in the Office of
the City Engineer, Account No. 100-456-245.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the bids received up to the hour
of 2:00 o'clock P.M. on July 22, 1976, reviewed by the City
Engineer and submitted to the City Council on August 10,
1976, be rejected and the above-mentioned public improvement
be readvertised as follows:
1. That the Notice Inviting Sealed Proposals shall
be published on August 19 and 26, 1976.
2. That the opening of the bids shall be on September 2,
1976.
3. That the award of the contract will be on September 7,
