90-223 RESOLUTION NO. 90R - 223
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM ESTABLISHING FEES FOR
THE UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim has
adopted an ordinance amending Section 16.08.100 of the Anaheim
Municipal Code to assume responsibility for the implementation
of Chapter 6.? of Division 20 of the Health and Safety Code
relating to underground storage of hazardous materials; and
WHEREAS, Section 25287(a) of the Health and Safety
Code requires the governing body of a City which assumes
enforcement jurisdiction to establish fees at a level
sufficient to pay the necessary and reasonable costs incurred
by the City in administering Chapter 6.7, including, but not
limited to, permitting and inspection responsibilities; and
WHEREAS, the following fees to be charged are
reasonable and necessary and do not exceed the City's actual
costs in administering Chapter 6.7.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that it does hereby adopt the following fee
schedule for the underground storage tank program:
Annual Permit to Operate * ....... $201.00 per tank
Transfer of Ownership ............ $ 53.00 per tank
Modification Fee: ................ $233.00 per 3 hours
(including repair) of staff time
PLAN CHECK FEES
New Tank Installation ............ $311.00 per 1-3 tanks
$ 78.00 each additional tank
Tank Replacement .................. $466.00 for 1st tank
$ 78.00 each additional tank
Tank Removal or Closure .......... $1S6.00 for 1st tank
$ 78.00 each additional tank
· A State of California surcharge of $56.00 per tank will be
added when applicable. The surcharge is assessed once every
five years to the Annual Permit to Operate fee, or when new
tanks are installed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council that these fees
shall become effective July 1, 1991.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by
the City Council of the City of Anaheim this 26 day of June, 1990.
