WHEREAS, the City of Anaileii-ii desires to -lease a parcel
o.f- land from the Southern Pacific Transportation Company at the
intersection of Broadir7ay and Manchester in the City of Anaheii,,,.,
for the purpose of installing a memorial conmem.o rating the first
station stop east of Los Angeles and beautifying said location;
and
WHEREAS, Southern Pacific Transportation Company has
submitted a form of lease to the City forsaidPurpose; and
WHEREAS, City finds that said lease is satisfactory for
said purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the terms and conditions of a lease be-
tween the City of Anaheim and the Southern Pacific Transportation
Company pertaining to land at the intersection of Broadway and
Manchester in the City of Anaheim be, and the same are hereby,
approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mlayor and City Cler7:
are hereby authorized to execute said lease on behalf of - the 'City
of Anaheim.
