1977-458WHEREAS, a contract was entered into by and
between the City of Anaheim and C. V. Taormina, doing
business as Anaheim Disposal Company, as of the 27th day of
June, 1956, and said contract was extended and re- executed
by several amendments to and including the 1st day of July,
1971; and
WHEREAS, said agreement was subsequently amended
on March 12, 1974, extending the term thereof to June 30,
1979; and
WHEREAS, the parties desire to further amend said
agreement to Anaheim Disposal, Inc., for collection of
rubbish and waste material of Anaheim, California, of June 27,
1956 to increase the contract unit price per barrel from
$0.24 to $0.27, to establish compensation to contractor for
bulk container (3 cubic yard bin) collections to be incorpor-
ated within the City utility billing system, and to extend
the term of said agreement, together with all amendments
thereto, to June 30, 1982; and
WHEREAS, an Amendment to Agreement has this day been
submitted, the terms and conditions of which are satisfactory
to the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that that said Amendment to Agreement
between the City of Anaheim and Anaheim Disposal, Inc., a
California corporation, this day submitted be, and the same
is hereby, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
are hereby authorized to execute said Amendment to Agreement
for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
