A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
OF AN AMENDMENT TO AN AGREEMENT DATED MAY 25,
1976, WITH THE CITIES OF GARDEN GROVE AND
STANTON RELATING TO PARTICIPATION IN A JUVENILE
DIVERSION /TREATMENT PROGRAM; AND AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID
AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM.
WHEREAS, the Cities of Anaheim, Garden Grove, and
Stanton entered into a Joint Powers Agreement dated May 25,
1976, concerning the carrying out of certain functions
under Public Law 93 -83, being the Crime Control Act of 1973;
and
WHEREAS, said agreement is scheduled to terminate
on June 30, 1977; and
WHEREAS, the parties desire to extend said agreement
to and including the date of September 30, 1977, with all
terms to remain the same with the exception of contribution
by the parties pursuant to Paragraph 12 of said agreement; and
WHEREAS, an amending agreement has been prepared to
extend the date of said agreement and change the amounts of
contribution; and
WHEREAS, the terms and conditions of said amending
agreement are acceptable to the City Council of the City of
Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the terms and
conditions of said amending agreement are hereby approved
and accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
be, and they are hereby, authorized to execute said amending
agreement on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 28th day of June 1977.
