90-213 RESOLUTION NO. 90R-213
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO DESIGNATE PERSONS TO ACT FOR
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM IN CONNECTION WITH SMALL
CLAIMS ACTIONS, AND SUPERSEDING RESOLUTION NOS.
88R-399 AND 89R-278
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find
and determine that it is necessary in the normal course of business
in the City of Anaheim to investigate, prosecute, defend, settle and
consummate litigation involving small amounts, the jurisdiction of
which is vested in the Small Claims Court; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed by the City Council of the City of
Anaheim that certain City employees should be authorized to act in
the City's behalf in connection with small claims actions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that those persons designated by letter signed by
the City Manager be, and the same are hereby, authorized to
commence, prosecute, defend, settle and consummate small claims
litigation for, in behalf of, and in the name of the City of
Anaheim, and that they, and each of them, are authorized to file
small claims petitions, to appear at small claims hearings, to
represent the City, and to file satisfaction of judgment in small
claims actions, and to do any and all other things necessary and
convenient in the processing of small claims actions.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Resolution Nos. 88R-399 and
89R-278 be, and they are hereby, superseded by the foregoing
resolution.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
