A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM AND THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT
OF HIGHWAY PATROL, RELATING TO TRAINING CLASSES
FOR ANAHEIM POLICE OFFICERS AT THE CALIFORNIA
HIGHWAY PATROL ACADEMY. (Training Agreement
No. 41- 77/78)
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim desires to send
officers of the Anaheim Police Department to attend
training classes conducted by the State of California,
Department of Highway Patrol, at the California Highway
Patrol Academy; and
WHEREAS, the State of California, Department of
Highway Patrol, is willing to furnish such training services
and to allow said officers of the Anaheim Police Department
to use its Highway Patrol Academy facilities while attending
said training classes; and
WHEREAS, the State of California, Department of
California Highway Patrol has submitted Training Agreement
No. 41 -77/78 providing for the training, housing and status
of Anaheim Police Officers while attending training classes
at the California Highway Patrol Academy and providing for
the manner of bearing the cost and expense of training and
housing of said Anaheim Police Officers attending said
classes; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be
for the benefit and in the best interests of the City to
enter into said Agreement with the State of California,
Department of California Highway Patrol, and that the same
should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that Training Agreement No. 41 -77/78
this day submitted to the City Council to be made and entered
into between the City of Anaheim and the State of California,
Department of Highway Patrol, providing for the training,
housing and status of Anaheim Police Officers attending
training classes at its California Highway Patrol Academy
upon the terms and conditions and for the compensation set
forth in said Agreement be, and the same is hereby, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City
Clerk be, and they are hereby authorized to execute said
Agreement for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 21st day of June 1977.
