1977-430RESOLUTION NO 77R-430 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING THE ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM OF THE TERRITORY KNOWN AND DESIGNATED RED GUM CORONADO NO. 7 ANNEXATION. WHEREAS, said Local Agency Formation Commission authorized the City of Anaheim to annex said territory with- out notice and hearing and without an election pursuant to the authority vested in said Commission by Section 54797.1 of the Government Code; and WHEREAS, said territory proposed to be annexed to said City of Anaheim is situated in the County of Orange, State of California, and is contiguous to the City of Anaheim, and is uninhabited territory. That said consent contained a description of said territory in words and figures as herein- after in this resolution described; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim is authorized to approve said annexation by resolution without notice and hearing pursuant to the approval of said Local Agency Formation Commission and Section 54797.1 of the Govern- ment Code. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Anaheim finds: That the City of Anaheim submitted proof satisfactory to the Local Agency Formation Commission that all of the owners of land within the territory proposed to be annexed have given their signed consent to such annexation. That said territory proposed to be annexed to said City of Anaheim is situated in the County of Orange, State of California, and is contiguous to the City of Anaheim, and is uninhabited territory. That said consent signed by all of the owners of land within the ter- ritory proposed to be annexed contained a description of said territory in words and figures as hereinafter in this resolu- tion described. That the City of Anaheim filed said request to annex said territory, containing the specific boundaries of the ter- ritory to be annexed, with the Local Agency Formation Commis- sion and said Local Agency Formation Commission approved said annexation request of the City of Anaheim pursuant to Section 54797.1 of the Government Code. That on the 25th day of May 1977 the Local Agency Formation Commission duly adopted Resolution No. 77 -84 in which said Commission authorized the City of Anaheim to annex said territory in accordance with Section 54797.1 of the Government Code and further approved such annexation of said territory without notice or hearing. ATTY— 30 (Page 1 of 3 pages) That the Local Agency Formation Commission further by resolution, authorized the City Council of the City of Anaheim to annex said territory without notice or hearing by the City Council and without the requirement that an election be held by the City on the question of said annexation. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the annexation of the territory included within the boundaries of the RED GUM C ORONADO NO. 7 ANNEXATION more particularly described as follows, to wit: ATTY -30 (Page 2 of 3 Pages) That parcel of land located in the County of Orange, State of California, described as follows: Beginning at an angle point in the existing boundary line of the City of Anaheim, said angle point being the Easterly terminus of that certain course described as "South 73 43' West, 904 feet, more or less," as established by the La Palma Miraloma Annexation adopted by Ordinance No. 2580 of the City of Anaheim, said point also being on the centerline of Orange Street as shown on a map of the Eucalyptus Forest Tract as re- corded in Book 5, Pages 29 and 30 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of said County and State, said Orange Street abandoned by resolution of the board of super visors of said County and State recorded January 23, 1948 in Book 1613, Page 340 of Official Records of said County and State; thence along said existing boundary line of the City of Anaheim to an angle point in the said existing boundary line, said angle point being the Southerly terminus of that certain course described as South 16° 17' East, 680 feet, more or less, as estab- lished by the said La Palma Miraloma Annexation, said angle point also being on a line parallel with and 20 feet Southerly, as measured at right angles from the centerline of Coronado Street as established by said Eucalyptus Forest Tract; thence leaving said existing boundary line along said parallel line South 73 43' West, 185 feet more or less, to a point on the exist- ing boundary line of the City of Anaheim as established by the Red Gum Coronado No. 6 Annexation adopted by the City of Anaheim Resolution No. 76R -499; thence along said existing boundary line of the City of Anaheim North 16 ,17' West, 40 feet to the intersection of a line parallel with and 20 feet Northerly measured at right angles from the centerline of Coronado Street; thence South 73 43' West, 79 feet along said parallel line and existing boundary line of the City of Anaheim to a point, said point being distant 660 feet, more or less, from the centerline of Red Gum Street as estab- lished by said Eucalyptus Forest Tract; thence leaving said existing boundary line North 16° 17' West, 640 feet, more or less, along the Westerly lines of Lots 81 and 72 of the Eucalyptus Forest Tract, to a point in the existing boundary line of the City of Anaheim as established by said La Palma Miraloma Annexation and in the centerline of Orange Street (now abandoned); thence along said existing boundary line North 73 43' East, 264 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning. is hereby approved and said territory is hereby annexed to and incorporated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, and is hereby designated as the RED GUM CORONADO NO. 7 ANNEXATION to the City of Anaheim. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that from and after the date of the adoption of this resolution and the filing of a cer- tified copy thereof with the Secretary of State of the State of California, the annexation of the territory herein de- scribed shall be deemed to be and shall be complete and thence forth such annexed territory shall be, to all intents and purposes, a part of the City of Anaheim, and from and after the effective date of such annexation, all property therein shall be subject to taxation equally with the property within the City of Anaheim and shall be taxed to pay its propor- tionate share of the existing indebtedness and liability of said City of Anaheim contracted prior to or existing at the time of such annexation pursuant to the written consent of the owners of property in said annexed territory filed with the Clerk of the City of Anaheim prior to the adoption of this resolution.
