A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM DISAPPROVING AN INDEMNITY AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AND RAYMOND G.
SIMPSON AND SUSAN L. GUILES.
WHEREAS, an Agricultural Preserve Agreement,
commonly known as the Douglass- Sunkist Agricultural Preserve
Agreement, and herein referred to as "Preserve Agreement"
was entered into between Raymond G. Simpson and Susan L.
Guiles and the County of Orange on February 26, 1969, pursuant
to the California Land Conservation Act of 1965 set forth in
the California Government Code commencing with Section 51200;
and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 51200,
et seq., Raymond G. Simpson and Susan L. Guiles petitioned
the City of Anaheim for rescission of said Preserve Agreement;
and
WHEREAS, an Indemnity Agreement has heretofore been
prepared for execution by and between the City of Anaheim and
Raymond G. Simpson and Susan L. Guiles in the event said
Agricultural Preserve Agreement should be rescinded; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim
finds it in the public interest not to rescind said Agricul-
tural Preserve Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the execution of an Indemnity
Agreement between the City of Anaheim and Raymond G. Simpson
and Susan L. Guiles be, and the same is hereby, disapproved.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by
the City Council of the City of Anaheim this 2 day of May,
1977.
