A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIn REQUESTING THE CALIFORNIA STATE
OFFICE OF PLANNING AND RESEARCH TO PROVIDE
PLANNING ASSISTANCE TO THE CITY OF ANAHEILI,
AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY nANAGER TO EXECUTE
THE NECESSARY APPLICATIONS AND AGREEAENTS
FOR SAID ASSISTANCE.
WEEDEAS, the City of Anaheim, recognizing the proleams
and issues identified in the attached Application for Comarehen-
sive Planning Assistance, acsires to Provide for a Planninu study
contributing to improved executive planning, decision-making, and
management capability; to the encouragement of community planning
and management as a continuous process; and to the solution of
problems, realization of opportunities and the formulation, and
implementation of policies related to coramunity z'evelopment and
growth; and
ill2REAS, the City of Anahein has developed an Overall
Program Design and recommended the development of an organiza-
tional structure as outlined in the attached Ap to deal
with these develooment proble and issues; and the California
State Office of Planning and Research may provide planning assist-
ance for such a program and receive financial assistance from the
U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Develowent, as authorized by
Section 791 of the Housing Act of 1954, as amended.
THERT1FORE, BE IT RE:SOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that said City Council hereby requests the
Office of Planning and Research to provide planning assistance
under authority of the Government Code of the State of California,
with such financial assistance as may be provided by the U.S.
Department of Housing and Urban Development, under authority of
Section 701 of the Housing Act of 1954, as amended. Such planning
assistance is more particularly described in a project description
that is attached hereto and made a part of this resolution as if
fully set forth herein.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of Anaheim, subject to approval of such planning assistance by the
State and Federal authorities, hereby authorizes the use of person-
nel of the City of Anaheim for services and/or other expenditures
of funds toward the accomplishment of this project which will have
a net estimated cost to the City of Anaheim of $10,000.00.
BE IT FURTZ.Ea RESOLVED that the City Hanacer Le, and
he is hereby, authorized and empowered to execute in the naTle
of the City of Anaheim all necessary applications, contracts, and
agreements and amendments hereto to implement and carry out the
purposes specified in this resolution.
TEE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
