A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
OF A LEASE WITH THE METROPOLITAN WATER DISTRICT
OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA; AND AUTHORIZING AND
DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE
SAID LEASE ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM.
(Microwave Repeater Tower Site)
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim is in need of a site
for the construction of a microwave repeater tower to
improve the Anaheim Police Department's communications in
the Santa Ana Canyon area; and
WHEREAS, Motorola Communication and Electronics,
Inc., has recommended such facility be located in the area
of The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California's
Santiago Control Tower site in the County of Orange; and
WHEREAS, The Metropolitan Water District of
Southern California is willing to lease a portion of said
site to the City of Anaheim for the purpose of constructing
said repeater tower; and
WHEREAS, a lease has been prepared whereby The
Metropolitan Water District of Southern California will
lease such site to the City of Anaheim; and
WIIEREAS, the terms and conditions of said lease
are acceptable to the City Council of the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the terms and
conditions of said lease are hereby approved and accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City
Clerk be, and they are hereby, authorized and directed to
execute said lease on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed by me this
