1977-308WHEREAS, the parties hereto desire to promote and
preserve the health and general welfare of the people of the City
of Anaheim and the Orange Unified School District, to cultivate
and develop good citizenship by providing for an adequate program
of community recreation and to conduct such a program of community
recreation as will contribute to the attainment of general educa-
tion and recreational objectives for the children and adults of
said School District within the City; and
WHEREAS, the parties hereto desire to cooperate with
each other to carry out the provisions of Chapter 4, Division 12
of the Education Code of the State of California, and to that end
enter into an agreement with each other to organize, promote, and
preserve the health and general welfare of the children and adults
of said School District within the City; and
WHEREAS, said parties wish to continue a joint program
of community recreation; and
WHEREAS, a joint community recreation agreement has this
day been submitted, the terms and conditions thereof are satisfactory
to the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that the terms and conditions of an agreement pro
viding for a joint program of community recreation be, and the
same is, hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are
hereby authorized to execute this agreement for and on behalf of
the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by me
this 3rd day of May 1977.
