A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF `SUE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING THE TEXT TO ACCOAPAJY
AREA III OF GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT NO. 142
RELATING TO HE SANTA ANA CANYON AREA.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim, pur-
suant to the recommendation of the City Planning Commission,
adopted a General Plan for the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, on the 8th day of March, 1977, pursuant to the
recommendation of the Planning Commission, the City Council by
Resolution No. 77R -168 adopted General Plan Amendment No. 142 in-
cluding Area III thereof which amended the land use element of the
General Plan relating to the Santa Ana Canyon Area, being the area
bounded generally by the Newport Freeway, Esperanza Road /the Santa
Ana River, the Orange Riverside County line, and the ridgeline;
and
WHEREAS, on the 25th day of April, 1977, the Planning
Commission duly adopted its Resolution No. PC77- 97 recommending
the adoption of the explanatory text to accompany Area III of
General Plan Amendment No. 142 relating to the Santa Ana Canyon
Area; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that
the explanatory text to accompany Area III of General Plan Amend-
ment No. 142, as set forth in Exhibit "A" on file with the City
Planning Commission, as recommended by the Planning Commission,
should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the explanatory text to accompany Area
III of General Plan Amendment No. 142 as set forth in Exhibit "A"
on file in the City Planning Commission be, and the same is hereby,
approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Planning Department
be, and the same is hereby, instructed to incorporate said text in
the land use element of the General Plan of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTIOI is approved and signed by me
