A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM DELETING THE JOB CLASS OF PLAN
CHECK ENGINEER FROM RESOLUTION NO. 76R -680
AND ESTABLISHING PLAN CHECK ENGINEER AS AN
OVERTIME NON- EXEMPT CLASSIFICATION.
WHEREAS, the Personnel Director has recommended in a staff
report dated April 20, 1977 that the overtime exempt status be
removed from the classification of Plan Check Engineer to permit
payment at the overtime rate for overtime work performed in response
to a developer's request to expedite plan checking, and
WHEREAS, developers will agree to pay a premium fee when
requesting the expediting of plan checking which will cover the costs
of paying overtime compensation to Plan Check Engineers when required
to work overtime in response to such requests, and
WHEREAS, the need exists to delete the job class of Plan
Check Engineer from Resolution No. 76R -680 and to establish Plan Check
Engineer as an overtime non exempt classification, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find
that establishing Plan Check Engineer as an overtime non exempt
classification is in the best interests of the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that the job class of Plan Check Engineer be and is
hereby deleted from Resolution No. 76R -680, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that overtime payment shall only be
authorized in cases where developers agree to pay a premium fee when
requesting the expediting of plan checking which will cover the costs
of paying overtime compensation to Plan Check Engineers when required
to work such overtime, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the following classification be
created effective April 15, 1977 as follows:

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that except for the deletion of
the classification of Plan Check Engineer, Resolution No. 76R -680
shall remain in full force and effect.
