A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AN AGREEMENT FOR ACQUISITION
AND SALE OF REAL PROPERTY WITH THE ANAHEIM
REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY.
WHEREAS, the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency (the
"Agency is engaged in activities necessary to execute and
implement the Redevelopment Plan (the "Redevelopment Plan
for Redevelopment Project Alpha (the "Project and
WHEREAS, for the purpose of aiding and cooperating
in the implementation of the Project, the City of Anaheim (the
"City may convey any of its real property within the
Redevelopment Project Alpha Project area (the "Project area
to the Agency upon the terms as it determines as provided in
Health and Safety Code Section 33220 of the California
Community Redevelopment Law; and
WHEREAS, the Agency has agreed to sell and convey
certain real property in the Project area to Shapell Govern-
ment Housing, Inc., (the "Redeveloper pursuant to the terms
and conditions of a Contract for Sale of Land for Private
Redevelopment; and
WHEREAS, the City owns certain parcels of real
property (the "Property within the Project area, as described
in the Agreement for Acquisition and Sale of Real Property
(the "Agreement which property comprises a portion of the
real property to be sold pursuant to the terms of such Contract
for Sale of Land for Private Redevelopment; and
WHEREAS, the City proposes to convey said Property
to the Agency for the purpose herein set out and in consideration
and in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth in
said Agreement for Acquisition and Sale of Real Property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim as follows:
1. The City Council hereby approves the terms and
conditions of the Agreement for Acquisition and
Sale of Real Property.
2. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
and directed to execute the Agreement and to
take all steps and sign all documents and
instruments necessary to carry out such Agree-
ment on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 26th day of April 1977.
