1977-262RESOLUTION NO. 77R- 262 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH ORANGE COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT IN CONNECTION WITH THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE RAYMOND -LA PALMA STORM DRAIN FROM EAST STREET TO ACACIA STREET AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT. WHEREAS, the frequent flooding that occurs on La Palma Avenue between East Street and Acacia Street in the City of Anaheim indicates the need for construction of a portion of the La Palma Storm Drain between East Street and Acacia Street; and WHEREAS, the City Engineer's Flood Control Advisory Committee of Orange County has concurred in the allocation of con- struction funds for a portion of the Raymond -La Palma Storm Drain with the condition that the City of Anaheim cooperate financially in the project; and WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim desires to cooperate finan- cially in the storm drain project; and WHEREAS, the Orange County Flood Control District will construct a storm drain between the Carbon Creek Channel and East Street entirely at their cost; and WHEREAS, a private developer has previously constructed a storm drain in La Palma Avenue between Acacia Street and State College Boulevard entirely at his cost; and WHEREAS, it is mutually advantageous to the Orange County Flood Control District and the City of Anaheim to have the storm drain improvements constructed under a unified agreement; and WHEREAS, an agreement has been prepared, the terms and conditions of which are satisfactory to the City of Anaheim; and WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of Anaheim to enter into said agreement. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that the terms and conditions of an agreement with the Orange County Flood Control District in connection with the construction of the Raymond -La Palma Storm Drain in the City of Anaheim be, and the same are hereby, approved. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk be, and they are hereby, authorized to execute said agreement on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
