A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM REQUESTING THE EXCLUSION OF CERTAIN
TERRITORY LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY OF ANAhEI21
FRon THE SHERWOOD COUNTY STREET LIGHTING
NAIN-
TENANCE DISTRICT AND FURTHER REQUESTING THAT
SAID DISTRICT BE DISSOLVED BY THE COUNTY BOARD
OF SUPERVISORS.
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange
heretofore established the Sherwood County Street Lighting District
(hereinafter "District") within certain unincorporated territory of
said County pursuant to the provisions of Improvement Act of 1911,
Section 5820 et seq. of the Streets and Highways Code of the State
of California; and
WHEREAS, a portion of the territory of
annexed to the City of Anaheim by Annexation No.
1974; and
WHEREAS, all of the territory has been

Being a portion of the Northwest Quarter of the North-
east Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 18,
Township 4 South, Range 10 West, S.B.M. in the Rancho
Los Coyotes, County of Orange, State of California, as
shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 51, Page 10 of
Miscellaneous Maps records of Orange County, described
as follows:
Beginning at the east quarter corner of said Section
18 (also being the centerline intersection of Orange
Avenue and Brookhurst Street) thence from said corner
along the northerly line (centerline of Orange Avenue)
of the Southeast Quarter of said section North 89° 41'
37" West 1080.87 feet to the True Point of Beginning;
thence South 0° 38' 33" West 365.60 feet to a point on
the northerly line of Tract No. 2418, recorded in Book
68, Pages 33 through 34, records of Orange County;
thence along said northerly line North 89° 41' 37"
West 233.80 feet to the west line of the E 1/2 of the
Southeast Quarter of said Section 10; thence along said
west line North 0° 38' 33" East 258.81 feet to a point;
thence South 89° 41' 37" East 94.40 feet to a point;
thence North 0° 38' 33" East 58.69 feet to the begin-
ning of a curve being concave southwesterly and having
a central angle of 90° 20' 10" and a radius of 18.00
feet; thence along said curve northwesterly an arc
length of 28.38 feet to a point; thence North 0° 18'
23" East 30.00 feet to a point on the northerly line of
the Southeast Quarter of said Section 18; thence South
89° 41' 37" East 162.68 feet to the True Point of Begin-
ning.
(hereinafter "Territory and containing two street lights located
on Greenwich Street on the south side of Orange Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the Orange County Local Agency Formation Commis-
sion has requested that said Territory be withdrawn from the District
by the City of Anaheim and that said District be dissolved by the
Board of Supervisors; and
WHEREAS, the withdrawal of said Territory and dissolution
of said District by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange
would be in the best interests of the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that said City hereby requests that the hereinabove
described Territory be excluded from the Sherwood County Street
Lighting Maintenance District in accordance with the provisions of
Section 5853 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of Cali-
fornia.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Anaheim hereby
requests that said Sherwood County Street Lighting Maintenance Dis-
trict be dissolved by the Board of Supervisors of the County of
Orange in accordance with the provisions of Section 5851 of the
Streets and Highways Code of the State of California.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk shall transmit
certified copies of this Resolution to the Board of Supervisors and
the Local Agency Formation Commission of the County of Orange.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
