A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE AND FILE AN APPLICATION
FOR A COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PUR-
SUANT TO THE HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
ACT OF 1974.
WHEREAS, Activities and Programs under Title I of the
Community Development Act of 1974 have been duly considered and
appropriate public hearings and public canvassings has been con-
ducted; and
WHEREAS, such solicitation of public opinion has re-
sulted in a statement of needs, long term objectives, short term
objectives, a one (1) year budget and program, and a Housing
Assistance Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Supplement to Environmental Impact Report
Nos. 140 and 170 and the Application for funding under Title 1
of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 have been
reviewed by the Southern California Association of Governments
and through the State Clearinghouse pursuant to A -95 Review
procedures; and
WHEREAS, comments received through the A -95 Review
have been incorporated in the Application; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim has
reviewed and considered the contents of said Supplement to Envi-
ronmental Impact Reports and said Application for funding under
Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council hereby gives assurance that
the City of Anaheim will comply with all laws, regulations, and
executive orders as more particularly set forth in that certain
HUD document entitled "Assurances," a copy of which is attached
hereto and made a part hereof as though fully set forth herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Anaheim hereby approves the Application for fund-
ing under Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act
of 1974 which includes a one -year Community Development Program
and Budget and Housing Assistance Plan.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager of the
City of Anaheim be, and is hereby, authorized to file said Appli-
cation for a Community Development Block Grant pursuant to the
Housing and Community Development Act of 1974.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
on the 5th day of April, 1977.
